Our Arctic Tern Wildlands door was originally developed for use in Africa and Australia, where protection from dangerous animals is a priority. We added our refinements and brought it to North America.
The Wildlands doors are an exceptional choice for maximum ventilation and security. The door is unique in that it incorporates a triple lock system with two deadbolts and a metal-framed inner screen door, allowing full security while enjoying maximum ventilation and bug protection. No other door on the market can match this feature set.
The door frame is powder coated aluminum with heavy duty stainless steel latches. The screen door features a stainless-steel #6 woven mesh with .040 wire. This allows you to sleep in safety with the outer door open in hot weather. The placement of the bug screen on the outside of the steel mesh means your pets cannot push through the bug screen from the inside. The bug screen is easily replaced using conventional screen tools.
The single handle actuates all three latch points. The door lock shares the same European lock set as our cargo doors and other accessories, so all of our lockable Arctic Tern products can be keyed to match.
This door was developed for hot weather use, but we offer an optional removable insulated thermal panel for use in colder climates.
