Adventure Van Expo - Evergreen, CO Recap 2024

The journey to Evergreen, CO, marked the beginning of a month-long Summer 2024 Colorado Tour for Tern Overland Sales Manager, Mike Rousseau. With his gear loaded up and ready for the adventures ahead, Mike embarked on the trek to the Adventure Van Expo.

Starting in Prescott, AZ, Mike and a few fellow overland industry friends, including Christina from KC Hilites in a Storyteller van, caravanned towards Colorado. Along the way, they enjoyed camping in some stunning locations, with Monument Valley, AZ, standing out as the most memorable spot. 

Upon reaching Evergreen, CO, the team prepared for a family-friendly weekend celebrating the van life & Overlanding community. The Adventure Van Expo provided attendees with two days to explore over 50 van vendors, open house vans, DIY contests, live music, food trucks, and camping.

Live music was a highlight both days, and Mike reported back that the bands were fantastic, adding an energetic vibe to the event. The weather cooperated for the most part, with sunny days perfect for exploring the expo. Though mild wind and rainstorms rolled in during the evenings, the show continued without a hitch. Set on a baseball field in town, the venue was both accessible and quaint.

Tern Overland Partners were well-represented, with appearances including Rossmonster, Juniper Overland, Storyteller, Outpost Campers and Supertramp to name a few. It was great to reconnect with these partners and see their latest innovations & latest product launches.

While the facilities could have used some improvement and more food truck options, these were minor qualms in an otherwise delightful weekend. The first day was bustling with activity, while the second day, a Sunday, was quieter, possibly due to the weather. The intimate setting of the vendors packed into the baseball field allowed for meaningful connections between attendees and vendors. Camping on-site further enhanced the community feel.

After-hours, Storyteller and Upfitters Wholesale generously hosted happy hourd, providing a relaxed environment for networking and unwinding. The expo, held on July 27 and 28, was a great success.

Following the event, Mike took the opportunity to visit many of Tern Overland's existing and potential OEM partners in the area. He also planned a pit stop at The Great American RV Show in Colorado Springs before heading to Overland Expo - MTN WEST.
