Adventure Van Expo - Ventura 2024 Recap
Nov 19th 2024
This year’s Adventure Van Expo in Ventura, California, was a weekend full of good vibes, cool builds, and all things van life. Held on October 26-27, the event brought together van enthusiasts, DIY builders, and curious newcomers to connect, explore, and get inspired. Mike R., Tern Sales Manager, made the 450 mile drive from Prescott, AZ to Ventura, CA.
The coastal backdrop of Ventura set the perfect scene as over 50 vendors showed off their builds. From high-end custom rigs to clever DIY setups, there was no shortage of creativity. Each van told its own story, and attendees wandered through open house vans, imagining their own adventures on the road. There were even teardrop trailer manufacturers, such as Timberleaf Trailers.
One of the weekend’s highlights was the DIY contest, where builders proudly showcased their hard work. Every entry was a reflection of the passion and ingenuity that makes van life so unique. The contest created a buzz, and whether you were there to win or just to admire, the camaraderie was undeniable.
The event wasn’t just about vans, though—it was also about community. Food trucks kept everyone well-fed with local eats, live music filled the air, and on-site camping gave people the chance to unwind and connect even after the event ended each day. There’s something special about gathering with like-minded folks who share a love for adventure and the open road.
And let’s not forget the gear. Vendors had everything from solar panels and roof racks to clever gadgets and cozy bedding. Whether you were looking for practical upgrades or just dreaming about your future rig, there was plenty to explore.
The Ventura Adventure Van Expo was a good showcase for vanlifers and a celebration of the van life community. From the coastal views to the inspiring builds and welcoming people, it’s clear this event is as much about connection as it is about adventure. Until next time, Ventura!
