ROOF HATCH FAQs
While the 2025 and newer manual roof hatch shares the same 500mm × 700mm base dimensions, there are some installation considerations:
The corner radii are different between the models, with the manual version having a tighter corner radius of 50mm. If your existing cut hole opening exceeds the recommended 503mm × 703mm specification, there may be an unsupported gap beneath the glue channel around the corners, which could allow the roof hatch to leak.
The discontinued electric roof hatches could accommodate roof thicknesses from 42mm to 80mm. The new manual roof hatch can accommodate roof thicknesses between 25mm and 60mm.
The roof hatch must be mounted on the roof with the hinge side facing the direction of travel. Mounting the hatch in any other orientation may result in departure of the acrylic dome, damage the the roof hatch base, damage to your camper, and injury or damage to other motorists.
• The acrylic dome should be completely closed and latched while the vehicle is in motion.
• The bug screen and shade should be retracted when the vehicle is in motion.
• In sunny conditions, the shade should not be fully deployed, as extreme heat buildup can occur and may result in damage to the components. The shade should only be deployed approximately 2/3 of the way in hot and sunny conditions to allow ventilation.
