Our Arctic Tern Electric Roof Hatches can accommodate a roof thickness between 30mm and 84mm. Installation of an electric roof hatch where the roof thickness is between 70mm and 84mm will result in a gap between the external rooftop mounted unit and the interior ceiling-mounted trim panel.
Our electric roof hatch expansion ring kit covers that gap with flaps that attach to the interior ceiling-mounted trim panel, extending the vertical walls upward. This kit consists of color matched vinyl with pre-installed adhesive.
The Expansion Ring Kit is available pre-installed by Tern Overland if purchased at the same time as your roof hatch. It can also be added later and purchased individually.
